Ridiculously delicious crepes. We shared two:
-Scallops with parsley butter and seafood sauce
-Organic tomatoes with basil butter
The crepes were rich, but somehow not too heavy. Great tea selection also. The mixed drinks looked creative and tasty but I didn't have one.
Simply out of control how good this place is! It is worth the crowds and the higher than normal prices.
Ti Couz is our official post half-marathon or 12k run brunch with the girls plus boys. I knew I should have remained at Four Barrel Coffee, but somehow we walked towards Ti Couz. The Crepe is to -die-for as everyone else has attested to.
The best things they have to offer one can find behind the bar: Ti Couz 10, a refereshing minty cocktail in deep red with blackberry flavors, the lethal Bloody Mary with a couple of olives and a large shrimp, the Sidecar cocktail drink that was totally responsible for my loss of reasoning ability, discerning power and inability to control natural reflexes and baser instincts.
The events that follow after Ti Couz is a direct effect of the potent cocktail drinks prepared by the friendly bartender.

At first I was going to give this a 3 star because although delicious, I was disappointed at their small portions and relatively high price. But then I started thinking to myself, well . . . maybe that's why you don't see that many overweight Frenchmen, with the exception of Gerard Depardieu, but he may just be big boned.
The crepes have to be the most flavorful I've had outside of Paris. The mushroom and seafood sauce will make you exhale and your eyes may roll to the top of your head a little bit. You have to like the intensity of the flavors. If you don't like Mushroom or Seafood, you'll hate these sauces but they make the crepes shine.
The overall price can add up quickly if you pile on the ingredients so less is more or your wallet will be as thin as the crepes here. A great place for crepes in the Mission.

I've been coming here for years and always leave satisfied. It's often super crowded though with a long wait, but if you are up for the wait it can be worth it. I especially love "La Totale" which is the mushroom, tomatoe, and cheese crepe. The savory crepes here are definitely special!
Want a "real" crepe? This is the only place you need to bother with. Fantastic crepes, whether its for breakfast or dinner, sweet or savory. Better yet, they have a selection of unique cocktails perfectly suited to compliment your crepe selections!
That is my first creperie since I am living in SF. However I have to say, that as a native of France, this one a very good one.
I've took a mushroom and shrimp crepe that was followed by a nutella and banana one. Both were very good. The dought taste like what a French crepe should taste. So I had that sensation of being back in France during the two hours I spent in that restaurant.
I can't say that Ti Couz is the best creperie ever as I was born in France and I know that you will have to go to (French) Brittany to experience the best of the best. Saying that I thing that Ti Couz is definitely an extremely good one around. People like to say that this is the best one in San Francisco. :-)
Bon appetit!

Dear Ti Couz's mushroom sauce, you make my taste buds cry. I want to take home a jar of you and put you on everything I eat.
Dear Ti Couz's bloody mary, I don't even like bloody marys, but you are so delicious, so spicy and sweet and tangy and tart all at once. And you come with a dang SHRIMP on a toothpick.
Dear Ti Couz's Ti Couz 10, you are so minty and refreshing, I could drink four of you and not even realize I was totally trashed until I got up to leave and wouldn't be able to walk anymore.
Dear Ti Couz's dessert crepes with Nutella and/or ice cream and/or fruit, I am always slightly peeved when I have to share you with my dining partners because secretly I would like to gorge myself on you all by myself.
Dear Ti Couz, I apologize for somehow managing to live around the corner from you for an entire year without ever coming in until my boyfriend took me to you for a nice date. I don't know what I was thinking. Thank you for making such delicious food so affordable and fun to eat that I get cravings for you weekly.

I was never a big crepe person until I discovered Ti Couz. The shrimp and mushroom crepe with the seafood sauce it just to die for!!! The Salad de Maree has got to be the best salad I have ever tasted. I guess I will have to try a sweet crepe but I am all about the savory!!! The prices are pretty reasonable. If you are lucky enough to get there and snag an outside table then you get to enjoy some wonderful food and a view of 16th Street. I can taste that seafood sauce even now...wow I need to get down there!! One note...they don't do take out. And they discourage giving "doggie bags" as crepes that have stuff in them don't really taste the same if re-heated.
Having another crepe elsewhere will never be the same (including most of France). Bohemian atmosphere, cheap prices, and diverse clientele make this my favorite casual spot in The Mission.

I've been at the receiving end of plenty of racist comments in my life that I have opted to join in the fun of making fun of Asians. If you can't beat them, join'em. So when I'm asked if I speak Asian or if I have exceptional C++ skillz or if I eat rice .. I say yes. I also make sure they know .... why yes, I also know kara-te and I'm good at math.
Despite my Asian superior math prowess, I cannot for the life of me keep a running tab in my mind when I eat here. I enjoyed the buckwheat savory crepes at Ti Couz that are filling and light on the stomach. However, its really difficult to keep track on how much you're spending because of the way the menu is organized. You order all these additions to your crepes from mushroom sauce and extra fixings that you're quickly lost on how much your crepe costs.
The crepes were tasty and the ambiance is Bohemian-like, but they could turn down some Bohemian and turn on some light. It's hard to read the menu when you're seated inside. When the weather is nice, the outdoor seating is perfect since it faces 16th street. I might be back, but I'll have to bring my abacus with me if I'm on a budget.

Every time I've felt inspired to write a review for this spot I'd look at the literally 500 others and close the tab. But in throes of a craving I must get it out somehow. Bedheaded brunch, be mine!
Square buckwheat Breton-style crepes, finger-licking good mushroom sauce, enough fillings to make ordering impossible. Sweet ones are divine.
Citron, mint press served with simple syrup and a carafe. Choose your own concentration. Brilliant. Pass on wine. Opt for a bloody mary and be prepared to dive in with your fingers for all the whole veg goodness.
My tastebuds will never be satisfied with another's crepes again.

I was first introduced to Ti Couz by a foodie friend in '98, and I have always come back and never been disappointed. I was not a crepe fan until I ate the light, flavorfull, buckwheat crepes at Ti Couz. Now I live for them. Go with a party of two or more and share both sweet and savory. My boyfriend and I usually get the La Total (tomatoes, cheese, and mushroom sauce) and the Citron (simple yummy sweet/ tart lemon with sugar). They also have a beautiful seafood salad and other non crepe food items and drinks. Check out the specials. GO!!!

Tasty!! The crepes don't make you feel like you've just eaten a loaf of bread.
Build my own anything is an option I can get on board with, especially when it comes to food.
Mimosas are tasty. Water on request.
The service is stellar.. no matter how intimidating the wait looks, you're sure to be seated as promptly as possible.. this staff can hustle! And not in the con artist way.

Ti Couz has always been great. And the thing that makes it so great now is that is has continued to be great - consistently - for the duration. No resting on its laurels or banking on its enviable location at 16th and Valencia.
Year after year Ti Couz serves up delicious, authentic crepes both sweet and savory, outstanding cocktails, seasonal daily specials, HOMEMADE ICE CREAM and has never dropped the ball.
I truly appreciate a place that can maintain its superior level of quality once the rosy glow of being the new kid in town has faded. Ti Couz never lets me down. I especially like the salade de merre' loaded with seafood and crudites, the mushroom crepe and their bar-raising Bloody Mary with shrimp garnish.
Friendly, fun service, cheery atmosphere and solid as a rock. Ti Couz has it down pat. Salut to Ti Couz for a long, healthy and prosperous run.

Tres Bien!
Great for a cold day (or night)
I enjoy the onion soup
I enjoy the crepes
I enjoy the salads
Make sure you like to share and you like mushroom sauce.
Sweet crepes are unbelievably good and they arrive fairly quickly. Savory crepes in buckwheat are just ok -- so far the sausage one has been the most flavorful.
Waitress looks like her mother just died and we heard no "hello/please/thank you/here you go/enjoy your food/just a minute/sorry for the incorrect bill/have a nice evening" during our entire experience from her. She brought the citron presse drink with four parts (syrup, water, empty glass, glass with lemon) but didn't explain anything -- I had no idea what was in each one. She took back the yucky bloody mary after only one sip but still put it on the bill then refused to take it off. She does not smile EVER. This is probably the same waitress that another Yelp reviewer describes as "particularly cunty." Bussing staff were friendly and I thank them for their amiable interludes.
The waiting game here is totally unpredictable so be prepared to wait a loooong time or to eat immediately. Or just call ahead to find out the details before you arrive. No reservations.
Finally, the pricing is totally confusing and if you ever do figure it out, you'll flip at the prices of the additions.

Funny story: my friends and I stumbled across this place that I had been looking for for years! Turned out, I had come to this place over five years ago and it had left a lasting impression because the moment I walked in it jolted memories.
Second go around was excellent. The crepes were just as delicious as I had once remembered. The latte added an extra touch. I really enjoy this place and plan on checking it out more often now that I have found it.
I first went to Ti Couz in 1996 -- the food has been pretty consistent, though the premises have undergone renovation and expansion. Since I no longer eat dairy or eggs, I can only tell you from memory that the crepes are very good -- not strongly eggy like american crepes - with super tasty ingredients.
As a vegan, I have been back and enjoyed their salads and drinks -- they even made me a plate of sauteed onions and mushrooms to go on bread without any butter or cheese. Service was attentive and friendly, the prices are reasonable and it's a great spot on a sunny Mission morning or evening.
mmmm let me just say it was really really yummy. Yeah its a tad expensive but totally worth it for one of those 'treat your self' kind of meals. The portions were big too.
i agree with most of these reviews!

Pass on the seafood savory crepes. Maybe savory in general... I will give it one more shot, but the seafood and ratatouille crepes I had at Ti Couz paled to the quality and tastiness of its sweet counterparts. Stay away from the seafood crepe! There's nothing noxious about them, they simply are... flavorless. I had the shrimp crepe, which had dried wimpy bay shrimp stuffed in a buckwheat crepe skin and covered in a red seafood sauce that did not help to make the experience any better... not even to make that dry, dusty tasteless feeling go away. I was so disappointed! The ratatouille fared a bit better, loved the mushroom-y sauce, but again the filling was forgettable.
I have been recommended to come back for a mushroom crepe, and I shall but, for now, I say stick to Ti Couz for the sweets!
P.S. One highlight, though, was the salad and the strawberry milk. Excellent!

This was a dessert stop as this taco-breath crowd yearned for something sweet on our palate. Sophie's crepes was closed and with handy IPhone and Yelp in hand we landed at Ti Couz. Definitely a place with character and fitting to share some sweet crepes with friends.
Out of the three fruit-themed crepes we ordered (strawberry, banana, pear), I LOVED THE PEAR. GET THE PEAR. I could've done without the scoop of ice cream but if ice cream you insist, then I insist on vanilla. Least favorite was the strawberry.
Having been out of the country, new to me is the healthcare surcharge (Ti Couz charges 5%). If this continues to spread, eating out in SF is going to break the bank!

The fresh mixed green salad, lemonade, and a savory buckwheat crepe and then a shared sweet crepe (la delice)....nutella with banana! This is a nice treat from time to time. I've been coming for years!
My mouth just orgasmed. The only reason this place doesn't get the full 5 is because the waitress was pathetic and the beer/wine selection was mediocre at best. Other than that, the crepe I had was amazing. I went with one of their suggestions - sausage, tomatoes and cheese - and while it was late and I was starving (and probably would have eaten anything at that point), I couldn't stop talking about how good it was once I had a bite. Then we got dessert... another mouthgasm. A crepe with nutella and berries in it. SO. FUCKING. GOOD. Whatever genius stoner created this place is making a BUCK on the most simple foods because he can do crepes right. I'll definitely come back here often.
While visiting my cousin who lives in SF - I asked her to take me to a favorite restaurant of hers to dine at and so she took me to Ti Couz.
Ti Couz is a dimly lit bistro style restaurant that definitely has some character. There was seating outside, but as it was starting to get chilly, we opted for seating inside.
These are not the crepes that I've experienced in the past (remember the Magic Pan?) - for one, they were square and brown, but despite how they looked, the crepe I ordered (salmon and onion) was quite delicious. It was another piggy moment as I ended up eating the whole thing. My cousin and I shared a salad that was a melange of lettuce, goat's cheese and fresh peaches tossed with a light vinaigrette which was so huge that we couldn't finish it.
I was so full from dinner there was no room for dessert - but I'm fan and I'll definitely be back.

After months away from the San Francisco institution that is Ti Couz, I returned this afternoon, and it was just as fantastic as I remembered.
If there is an authentic creperie in SF, this is it. My god, but those buckwheat crepes are amazing. So perfectly crisp and thin. Fresh tomatoes and this incredible cheese with a little bite to it. Mm. Bites of heaven.
The only thing I'm not nuts about are the bar stools. They're a little hard to stay on without sitting up perfectly straight. But as my boyfriend said - that's the idea. You sit at the bar because you didn't plan ahead. Those seats have to turn quickly.
Ti Couz has been around enough that it's a pretty well oiled machine. They've got crepe making down to a science. Service is always friendly, well informed and prompt.
I'm happy to see that Ti Couz has not lost it's kick. It's still in it's hay day! And that's one heck on a long hay day. Well done!!!
In the past I've always had light airy crepes rolled up with a filling inside. Not at Ti Couz. They make a buckwheat crepe that is cooked on one side, flipped, layered with goodness, has the edges folded in so its square, then flipped out onto the plate.
I simply couldn't decide, so I went to my default setting of "order the special". It was a good choice. Spinach and fontina. Yum. It was tasty and filling. I rounded out my Sunday brunch with a Bloody Maree, complete with a large prawn garnish.
The GF insisted we go and I'm glad she did. Next time I'm in the city Ti Couz will be one of my stops.

Me and crepes don't really mix. Scratch that, we don't mix at all.
So it was much to my surprise to fall in love with this place! I had my full on biased glasses on. I was ready to give this place one star solely for the reason that I've never been a fan of crepes. But I failed... Ti Couz wouldn't let me.
The food was delicious. I'm almost sorry I didn't eat all of it, but it wasn't from lack of trying. After having an incredible salad as an appetizer, I went on to have a crepe with salmon, scallions, and caramelized onions. It was definitely as delicious as it may sound to you. The way they balanced the ingredients left me actually liking crepes. I know... I know... strong words.
On to the drinks: the original concoctions on their menu were nice. I had the Ti Couz 10 and the blackberry puree in the drink was an excellent addition. I could write more about the drinks, but suffice to say, I was not disappointed.
The service left a little bit to be desired. Our waiter was very busy and he had a lot of tables, so I'll give him a little leeway. While he wasn't too attentive, I didn't mind too much because he was funny, friendly and extremely personable.
I'll be back here at some point in the future. In fact, this may be one of the only crepe places I'll go because it seems every other place I've been has sucked in comparison.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT. This was the best food experience I've had in a very long time. I rolled up looking for a decent crepe and ended up with mind blowing full on crepe bliss. It was a Sunday and we waited nearly and hour for a table, but it was worth it.
One complaint: NO free refills on the iced tea. WTF? It's just iced tea, let it flow.
But back to the goodness...
I started with the simple side salad with spinach and greens. It was perfect. Then I had the mushroom, cheese, almond crepe with mushroom sauce. It's the best crepe I EVER had. For serious people.
Desert? Of course! It's noon. The nutella pear crepe was insane, perfect. The berry crepe with vanilla gelato was amazing too.
If you are looking for an amazing crepe - but have some time to kill (service and food took FOREVER) - Ti Couz is pour toi.
The wait for seating is always long at Ti Couz, but the food is so good that it's well worth it! Take your time, sit in the bar and enjoy the fresh air.
this is somewhere between 3 and 4, not quite 4, my salmon crepe was great, dessert was great, the onion soup soso, i just always feel crepes are overpriced, (and i was not even paying) they are basically a sandwich/quesadilla, typically even less filling. i just think i can get the same meal for four bucks at metro crepe on market and sansome. please do not get me wrong the food is good, i would go back for the food. just not worth the price.
I have only been to a few french restaurants, but wow-wee! This is my favorite so far! The shrimp and mushroom crepe is scrumptious... accompany that with a French Kiss martini and you are set for a nice cozy evening. Cheers!
I miss this place and know when I visit San Francisco again, I will surely pay a visit.
I love the vibe and don't get me started on those heavenly and airy crepes!

The good:
Beyond amazing crepes here. They definitely have the "home made" ethnic feel to them. You can't not go here without getting a dessert crepe. Sooooooo deliciously good! I forget what crepe I had for dinner (something with chicken, mushrooms, and peppers) but I do remember what I had for dessert. It was an amazing crepe filled with white chocolate and bananas, then on top was a scoop of vanilla ice cream that melted on the warm crepe as it sat.
The bad:
Very pricey though and they somewhat trick you. A "basic" crepe is $10 or so but then each additional topping is $2.50 to $4ish (in fine print at the bottom). I mean come on now, $3 for peppers? Who do they think they are! I went there with 3 other people and our bill came out to about $130, we all got a crepe for dinner and a crepe for dessert. So that is about $20ish per crepe.
More of a date or to bring a family/friend from out of town to:
The vibe of the place is more dimly lit and not super noise, which is nice for a conversation and a more "unique style" food. This is definitely a place to impress your sexy first date; they also have a bar to take the edge off. Also a different none-typical SF restaurant to bring any out-of-towner. Hard to not be pleased by the presentation and feel of the place.
I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 because of the price. Which makes it more suited for a special occasion not an every night place.

I traveled all the way from Phoenix to eat here (and for Union Square ;)) ! I love crepes and I love ti Couz! I will always stop here whenever I'm in town.
So I didn't know Ti Couz is supposed to be a creperie bretonne. That's fancy French talk for Brittany-style crepe house. No, not ooops, she did it again Britney. Brittany like in France next to the water. I guess in Brittany they make crepes into these wide, squarish pancakes out of buckwheat flour. Buckwheat....did I say Buckwheat?
Take a wiffen...

But I digress. Eddie ain't here. Just that damn chalkboard nobody sees 'cause nobody tells you that you're supposed to go the next room and sign up for a table. Ah, the French. Once you figure that out, that is, if you figure that out, then it's relatively smooth sailing on the Seine. It has that unmistakably Frenchy French country vibe like you're in France like in the country. Get it?
Jamie W. went for the Complete Crepe ...Overpromising? perhaps ...it has a scrambled egg, gruyere cheese and ham (see my photo). Very French, n'est-ce pas? It was decent but could have used a sauce. He didn't take advantage of the free creme fraiche and came to regret that decision. I went for the Champignon, Fromage & Amandes, which is fancy French talk for 'shrooms, cheese and almonds. Mine was better 'cause they spilled a can of cream of mushroom soup on top, I think (see my photo). It was okay, too. I'm guessing each were $8 since the menu requires you calculate the price yourself. Ah, the French.
Honestly, what overshadowed the entrees were the soup and salad. The $3.75 Salade Verte is a nice, refreshing bowl of greens dominated by the butter lettuce and the vinegary house dressing (see my photo). Best of all is the $4.75 Onion Soup, a pretty hefty bowl topped with melty cheese steeped in a salty broth (see my photo). That would have been fine as a meal in itself. No room for the dessert crepes this time. Demain peut-etre. Kiss-kiss.
FOOD - 3 stars...crepes are OK...I mean O-TAY!...the onion soup and salad are actually better
AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...oui, oui...eh, comme-ci, comme-ca

So this is what crepes is. I've always envisioned it as a dessert thing. But apparently it can be round the clock meals too. And expensive.
I had the shrimp seafood crepe and the sauce turned me off. It's like they were trying to drown the shrimp and crepe all at the same time with this uber cheesy sauce. The chocolate crepe with whipped cream was way better.
Service was on the fence. We were sometimes ignored or left alone for LONG periods of time. Don't think I'd come back again if I were in SF in the future.
The decorations are OUT-RAY-GESSSS.

Quirky, but worth it. Nice comfort food: a green salad, a cocktail or some french cider, perhaps a tomato/mushroom/cheese crepe or seafood crepe. The crepes here are nice and crisp, with a buckwheat crunch, but also heavier then you expect based on the crepes you usually see. I usually fail to finish my crepe and then insist on splitting a desert crepe with someone. The french onion soup is very tasty, though its a lot of food if you try to eat it with a crepe. Good for brunch, esp if you are an early (~1030AM) riser to miss the line, and they make a drinkable better-than-starbucks latte to go with your ham/cheese/egg crepe. True, there is a long line on the weekends. They have a lot of 2 person seating, though, so if you are a two its usually not _that_ bad.

I love this place! Their savory crepes, which are made from buckwheat, are so delicious and tasty. And their citron presse (a cup of fresh lemon juice with add your own syrup) is a must for me! And of course I can't leave without finishing with a berry dessert crepe with chocolate syrup and gelato! MMMMMM deliciously satisfying.
